Why it’s important for Proper Recitation?
Uthmaan (May Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (Peace and blessing of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best of you is he who learns the Qur’an and teaches it” Reported by al-Bukhari.
Quran is a book of guidance for a Muslim, and there are many virtues for reading and following the Quran, and the many narrations by our beloved Prophet (Peace and blessing of Allah be upon him).
Abu Moosaa (May Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (Peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said: “The example of a believer who recites the Qur’an and acts on it, is like a citron which tastes nice and smells nice. The example of a believer who
does not recite the Qur’an but acts on it, is like a date which tastes good but has no smell. The example of a hypocrite who recites the Qur’an is like a sweet basil which smells good but tastes bitter. The example of a hypocrite who does not recite the Quran is like a colocynth which tastes bitter and has a bad smell.”
Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim
My dear brothers and sisters, Allaah has sent messengers and prophets to people throughout history to clarify for them the purpose of their creation. Allaah (Glorified Is He The Most High) and as proof and evidence for their Prophethood, and to authenticate the messages which they held according to the time which they existed in. Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) was the seal of all messengers and prophets, Allah (Glorified is He the Most High) has blessed him with the miracle of the Quran as a proof of his Prophethood and a documented guidance to the generations to come.
In order for us to comprehend the prophetic miracle, we need to address the Quran in its proper way, by which we can understand it and also the way we need to recite it. Simply because the recitation is part of the miracle of the Quran and an important method to further engage in the Amazing Noble Quran.
Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (Peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said:
“The one who masters the (recitation of) Qur’an will be with the obedient Messengers (i.e. the Angels), and the one who recites the Qur’an and stutters in it, and it is difficult upon him, will have two rewards.
Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
